Livebar 25th April - According to Mundo Deportivo, to ensure the safety of the Easter celebration and possible Real Madrid fans' celebrations, the Madrid city government will deploy over 200 police officers and 60 medical personnel at Plaza de Cibeles.
It is reported that once the Easter celebration is over, these security personnel will remain at the scene in case fans come to celebrate after Real Madrid wins the Copa del Rey. Madrid's deputy mayor and representative for Security and Emergency Affairs, Sanchez, said at a press conference after the government meeting that they were fully prepared for this situation.
The Easter celebration will start at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and is expected to last until around 11 p.m., while the Copa del Rey final will be held in Seville at 10 p.m. To deal with the large-scale gathering of people that occurred last year, an "extensive" security measure will be set up this year, including more than 200 municipal police officers and 60 civil defense professionals.
In addition, a high-end health station will be set up on Montalban Street, and six ambulances and five walking teams will be deployed. Starting from 3 p.m., that is, three hours before the Easter celebration begins, the police will implement traffic control and pedestrian control on the road leading to Cibeles Square. Meanwhile, the Spanish Bank Station of the metro will be closed during the event, and the square and the COVID-19 memorial torch will also be fenced off.
The municipal government believes that the schedule of the Easter celebration is compatible with the possible celebration of Real Madrid's victory. If Real Madrid wins, the official celebration will be held in a few days. But that night, the existing safety devices will remain unchanged to ensure the safety of any spontaneous celebration activities.
